Scope and current status
This policy covers the Measured Logic company website, the Quivel website, support and enquiry correspondence, and the Quivel service when it becomes available. Where another Measured Logic product publishes its own notice, or a checkout, account or notice identifies a different service or provider, that notice applies to that service.
Quivel is releasing soon. Its public website currently has no signup, account or checkout flow. We will update this policy before introducing materially new data collection.
Who is responsible
“Measured Logic”, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Measured Logic Pty Ltd, the legal operator of these websites and Quivel. Contact the privacy team at [email protected] or through the contact form.
Before any paid order is accepted, that order or checkout must also show the Australian business details required for that transaction. A published plan shape does not create a sale or subscription.
Information we handle
Website and network requests
Hosting and network systems may process an IP address, request time and path, response status, browser or device information, and security signals to deliver, secure, diagnose and maintain the service. We do not use this data for targeted advertising.
Contact form and enquiries
The contact form asks for your name, a reply email, a topic, a subject and your message, with an optional organisation. Enquiries may contain technical context you choose to send. Do not include secrets, source code, customer records or sensitive personal information in free text or email.
Quivel service use
When Quivel opens, API keys will be shown once when created and kept in a form that cannot be displayed again. To operate and meter the service we expect to record request metadata such as the key used, endpoint, timing, outcome and the number of requests and characters returned. Query text will be processed to serve the request. We will confirm these details before access opens.
Future accounts and payments
No public account or payment flow is connected today. If enabled, identity and payment providers may process account, session, billing, tax, fraud-prevention and transaction information under a notice shown before collection. Never place full card details in a support message.
Purposes and automated decisions
We use information only as reasonably needed to operate and secure requested services; answer enquiries; provide support; understand overall website use and performance; measure whether our Google Ads lead to confirmed enquiries; meter and enforce future usage allowances; diagnose service health; prevent misuse; keep required records; comply with law; and send product updates when separately consented.
Future usage allowances may be applied by technical rules to a key, not decisions that determine a person’s legal rights or access to essential services.
Sharing and overseas processing
We do not sell or rent personal information or disclose it for third-party targeted advertising. We may disclose only what is reasonably needed to providers supporting hosting, network security, email, storage, support, identity, payments or advertising measurement; professional advisers under confidentiality; a successor in a genuine business transaction; or where law, safety or protection of rights requires it.
Our websites are delivered through a content delivery and security network, which may process request metadata outside Australia. Production providers for a paid Quivel service are not final because paid access is not live. Before a new provider processes personal information, we will update this notice with material providers and, where practicable, likely overseas countries. You may ask for the current list.
Cookies and browser storage
Our pages set no analytics or preference cookies and load no advertising tag, with one exception on measured-logic.com. If you arrive from a Google ad, the ad’s click identifier is kept in your browser’s local storage for up to 90 days; it is not sent anywhere until you send an enquiry. The enquiry confirmation page, which you see after sending an enquiry, is the only page that loads Google’s advertising tag, so Google Ads can count the enquiry and, if you came from an ad, link it to that ad. Google may then set cookies and receive the page address, the click identifier and limited browser, device and network information. It does not receive your name, email address, phone number or message. We disable personalised-advertising signals, and browsers that send Global Privacy Control do not load the tag.
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count page views and measure how quickly pages load. It sets no cookies and does not follow you across other websites; Cloudflare, which already delivers our websites, processes that data for us.
Your browser’s session storage briefly holds your enquiry reference so the confirmation page can show it, then clears it. Public contact and published-content requests are designed not to send browser credentials. A bot check from our security provider runs on the contact form and may set its own short-lived storage to complete that check. Ordinary hosting and security systems may still process request metadata; that is not the same as a tracking cookie.
If essential sign-in, security or payment storage is introduced, we will explain its purpose, duration and provider before use. We will not activate non-essential analytics or advertising storage without first providing any choice or consent required by law.
Marketing choices
Sending an enquiry does not subscribe you to general marketing. If you separately opt in, we may send occasional product updates. Access, security, support and requested-service messages are operational.
Marketing messages will identify the sender and include a working unsubscribe method. We will action an unsubscribe within five working days and keep only the minimal suppression record needed to avoid contacting you again. You can also withdraw consent by email.
Retention and deletion
We keep information only as long as reasonably needed for its stated purpose, security and dispute records, and legal obligations. We do not claim fixed periods the current systems do not yet implement.
- Past product-access enquiries remain only while needed to resolve the request, honour a withdrawal, or meet legal obligations.
- Contact and support correspondence remains while resolving the matter and for a reasonable record period.
- Future service request metadata will remain only while needed to meter, secure, audit or establish authorised use of the service.
Deletion from active systems may not immediately remove an isolated encrypted backup, which expires or is overwritten under its applicable cycle unless a legal hold requires longer retention.
Security and data breaches
Safeguards include encrypted transport, access controls, one-way key storage, bounded request limits, restricted service accounts, container restrictions and encrypted backups. No connected system is completely secure, and Quivel has not yet opened as a public production service.
We investigate suspected breaches, contain and remedy them, and notify affected people and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner where the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme requires it. Report a vulnerability privately by email to [email protected]; do not test against systems or accounts you are not authorised to use.
Access, correction, deletion and complaints
You may request access or correction, withdraw marketing consent, or request deletion where lawful. Email [email protected] with enough information to identify the record. We may verify identity and may retain information where law, fraud prevention, security or a current dispute requires it.
We will acknowledge a privacy complaint, investigate it fairly, and aim to provide a substantive response within 30 days. If unsatisfied, you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
Children, changes and contact
Our websites and future Quivel service are intended for adults and are not designed for children. Do not submit a child’s information. Tell us if a person under 18 has supplied information without appropriate parent or guardian involvement.
We may update this policy as the service, providers or law changes. We will show a revised date and give additional notice before a material change affects an existing user or paid service where practicable. Version 1.9. Contact [email protected].
